Vision Tests

We perform both the Snellen and the Ishihara Vision Tests. The Snellen is used to assess someone’s visual acuity (e.g. 20/20, 20/40, etc.) while the Ishihara tests for color blindness.

Whisper Test

Hearing impairment is a common problem in elderly people, affecting almost 40% of people over the age of 60 and 90% over the age of 80. If not detected and treated, it can have an appreciable impact on the social and emotional functioning of the individual. The Whisper Test is a simple and accurate method of detecting hearing impairment. Let AFC Doctors Express Southcenter assist you to determined and insure proper hearing levels for your employees.

Tuberculosis Skin Test (PPD)

AFC Doctors Express Southcenter can perform the Tuberculin / PPD test to determine if someone has been exposed to bacterium that causes TB (tuberculosis). We can also take a chest x-ray right in in our Urgent Car Clinic if an employee has a positive tuberculin test result to further assess whether there are active signs of Tuberculosis.

Lift Test

If your company wishes to ensure new employees can lift the required minimum weight or are simply fit for duty, AFC Doctors Express Southcenter can help. Our medical staff perform lift tests that can meet the requirements of companies both large and small.

Biometric Screenings

A biometric screening is an important component of a comprehensive health and wellness program. For employers, biometric screenings provide important baseline data to shape the direction of their corporate wellness program. For employees, these screenings provide information on current and potential medical issues. Combined with a Health Risk Assessment, employees have reliable information about their risk for chronic preventable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and heart disease, and lead to disease prevention and improved health.

Appointments are never necessary. Once we set up your account, any of your employees can simply walk in during our convenient 8am – 8pm, 7 days a week, 362 days a year.
